CUMBRIAN Seafoods says it has made investing in the local community a priority over its five years of existence and the company is delighted to announce that it is the headline sponsor for the Seaside Festival of Fun.
The Festival, which runs from 30th May to 1st June in Maryport, Cumbria, is a rejuvenated version of the highly successful ‘Songs of the Sea’ Festival, which ran for four years.
According to organizers, the new and improved festival has something for everyone. As well as a variety of stalls and information/education points, there will be everything from raft racing, trawler racing and lawn mower racing to a fun fair and quad bikes.
The fun continues through the night with 60s music from The Dreamers & The Fortunes and Easy Beats & Merseybeats.
Chief Executive Peter Vassallo said: As Maryports largest employer we take our role within the community very seriously. We support a wide range of events and organisations and this particular event allows the whole community to get involved in something that is not only fun, but educational. Our sponsorship allows public access to the event free of charge. In addition, it has encouraged our trade association Sea Fish Industry Authority to participate by way of a cookery demonstration kitchen
