The countdowns on for one of the UKs leading food festivals Pembrokeshire Fish Week.
Between 22nd June and 30th June, Fish Week has more than 200 events for people of all ages across Pembrokeshire, celebrating the countys superb fish and shellfish, the spectacular coastline, and the countys maritime heritage.
Listed as one of the UKs best food festivals by Conde Nast Traveller and known as one of the tastiest festivals in Europe. Pembrokeshire Fish Week has a fantastic range of eating out events from taster menus to gourmet seafood evenings, sharing platters to tapas or good old fish and chips..
UK acclaimed Indian Chef Anand George, proprietor of the Purple Poppadum in Cardiff will be hosting Indian sea food workshops, plus new for this year is a Thai fish cookery class with Guy Morris and back by popular demand is Japanese sushi expert Kimie Atkins, who will be holding a sushi workshop.
Also new for this year is a Seafood Safari food trail, lead by Duncan and Sue Lucas from Passionate About Fish and chef Andrew Swales. Participants will start off by greeting the fisherman coming in with their haul, learn all about filleting and cooking fish before ending the evening with a tasty fishy feast.
The pair will also be holding fish filleting classes at secondary schools throughout the week, supported by Valero.
Fillies, Fellas & Fish is a celebrity chef seafood Masterclass at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven on June 27th with Ravinder Bhogal and Angela Gray, Stephen Terry and Tim Maddams. Fresh from their fishing forays in the countys sea and rivers, the quartet will launch into a fun battle of the sexes, regaling each other and the audience with fishy tales while they cook up a storm on stage.
Join Pembrokeshire Paths for a week long coastal walk, stop off along the way to dine on Pembrokeshire Fish Week specials at some of Pembrokeshires finest pubs and cafes. Or take in the spectacular views over Saundersfoot Bay with chef Alan Coxon at the St Brides Spa Hotel.
Pembrokeshire Fish Week casts off on Saturday 22nd June with a big opening day for families and foodies at Milford Fish Docks, packed with cookery demonstrations, hands on activities, entertainment, music stage, stalls and workshops.
Pembrokeshire Fish Week is organised by Pembrokeshire County Council and part-funded by the Welsh Government.
