A LEADING UK nutritional expert is set to be the keynote speaker at a seafood seminar in Adelaide next month.

Professor Michael Crawford, Director of The Institute of Brain Chemistry & Human Nutrition at London Metropolitan University will visit Australia from February 4 – 9.

He will be the key speaker at the “Seafood for a Healthy Body and Mind” public seminar in Adelaide on February 5.

Professor Crawford’s lifetime of work in the fields of nutrition and the brain has made him a strong advocate of greater consumption of seafood for good health, and his Australian stopover is being hosted by Seafood Services Australia (SSA).

Professor Crawford, one of the world’s most influential researchers and writers on nutrition and related subjects, has headed The Institute since 1989, and has received numerous international awards.

The seminar is hosted by Seafood Services Australia’s Seafood for Life Program, the Australian Seafood CRC, University of SA, the Nutrition Society of Australia, Primary Industries and Resources of South Australia, Flinders University, University of Adelaide and the SA Research and Development Institute.
