Dwr Cymru Welsh Water (DCWW) has four beautiful Reservoir sites which are open to the public for fishing, water sports and for the enjoyment of the countryside, and many other land holdings which are managed with a focus on public access and conservation.
The Estates department and the Recreation Access and Conservation departments have been merged to give an opportunity for a new Area Lands Manager, dedicated to delivering the Companys Recreation Access and Conservation commitments in North Wales.
The ALM role in North Wales is an exciting opportunity for a Fisheries specialist to join the team at Llyn Brenig, Corwen, to manage the Visitor Centre there and to develop the Brenig Fishery, and the Angling enterprise within Dwr Cymru as a whole.
As Area Lands Manager (N) you will: Develop and implement a long-term Angling and Fisheries strategy for DCWW Develop the Visitor Centre at Brenig into a thriving and profitable and high profile visitor attraction in Wales. Provide stock trout for the reservoirs across Wales which offer trout angling, and develop the fisheries business to sell to wider markets. Collaborate with the other three ALMs and assume the lead on Commercial Management of Conservation, Access and Recreation across the business Manage a team of 5 permanent and up to 4 seasonal Rangers and Fisheries Assistants, and a Commercial Co-ordinator. Establish the ALM role as being recognised within DCWW as the in house expertise for green space management, Conservation, Recreation, and public Access.
