Aquaculture Systems Auditor – (Ref: TECH/ASA/01B) (salary – £24,000)
Position will be located at one of the following agreeable locations; Cairndow in Argyll or Strome in Ross-shire. Our Technical department is currently recruiting for an individual to join their team, to carry out the auditing and compliance analysis of the quality, environmental, hygiene and bio-security standards throughout the company. You will also be monitoring, keeping accurate records, compiling related reports for internal and external audits as well as organizing and conducting our existing carcass quality monitoring programme. The candidate will also assist our Environmental Assessor with site benthic sampling and monitoring. The post will involve travel to our marine, freshwater and processing facilities throughout the Company. Individuals must be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a small team, manage their own workload effectively and should be self-motivated, with excellent communication skills as candidate will be required to liaise with external stakeholders such as customers and industry regulatory bodies.
Preference will be given to applicants holding a formal food science based qualification. Ideally, applicants will have had previous experience in auditing and will have been previously working within a food production environment. A flexible approach to working hours is required as this role will occasionally involve overtime and weekend working.
