Alf-Helge Aarskog appointed new CEO of Marine Harvest Published:  30 March, 2010

The Board of Directors of Marine Harvest ASA has appointed 43-year old Alf-Helge Aarskog as Chief Executive of Marine Harvest ASA.

Marine Harvest is the world’s leading seafood company and largest producer of farmed salmon, with presence in 18 countries and about 5 000 employees worldwide. The company is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Mr. Aarskog has broad experience from the salmon farming industry and is currently the CEO of the Lerøy Seafood Group ASA. His previous positions include Executive Vice President in Lerøy Seafood Group, Managing Director of Lerøy Midnor AS and Head of production in Fjord Seafood ASA, a company later merged with Marine Harvest.

Alf-Helge Aarskog holds an MSC in Aquaculture from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB), and has supplementary management education from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Aarskog will take up his position no later than 1 October 2010.
